Series HANSA  of  HELLING  yoke magnets  are convincing for their light, handy and efficient yokes. These yokes are convenient to use due to their small handle with roughened surface. They enable long, fatigue-free operation.

Hand yokes of the series HANSA 230 and HANSA 42 fulfill the requirements of the following technical regulations
 
- EN ISO 9934-3 Non-destructive testing Magnetic particle testing - Part 3: Equipment
- ASTM E709-95 Standard Guide for Magnetic Particle Examination
- ASME Code Section V Nondestructive Examination
 
The requirement of the technical regulations concerning a lifting force of minimum 44 N (4.5 kg) and a tangential field force of minimum 20 A/cm is fulfilled.

The series includes the UM 8, UM 9, UM 10 and UM 15 hand yokes. The UM 8, 9 and 10 hand yokes differ in dimensions (pole spacing and length), in weight and in lifting strength. Optionally the devices can be fitted with two-limbs flexible legs, whose lower limbs can be swung inwards and outwards by 45°. The pole spacing can be hereby increased or decreased by approximately 60 cm. Due to 45° inclination of the contact surface the legs fit optimal the geometry of the object under testing.

The UM 15 hand yoke is provided with three-limbs flexible legs in standard execution. Hereby the poles distance can be set in the range from 95 up to 250 mm.

All hand yokes of HANSA series meet (also with flexible legs by maximum pole spacing) the requirements of general guidelines and standards (EN ISO 9934-3, ASTM 709 and ASME- Code, Sect. V). Here a lifting strength of min. 45 N (4,5 kg) or a tangential field strength of min. 20 A/cm (EN ISO 9934-3) is required as operational capability proof.

The HANSA hand yokes are completely sealed, being fed with main voltage of 230 Volt and possess the IP 65 protection class. They can be used (with the exception of UM 8 (60 sec./30% ED) with the maximum turn-on time of 150 sec. and maximum duty cycle of 50%. The cable can be uncoupled in order to prevent breaking of the connecting bushing.

Hand Yokes of series HANSA DC include control of accumulator. They comply with the requirements of

- ASTM E1444 Standard Practice for Magnetic Particle Testing
 
The lifting force is greater than 265 N (27 kg). Thus, the respective requirement of ASTM E1444 (minimum 225 N / 22.5 kg) is fulfilled.
